Members can volunteer to lead a group on a subject in which they have an interest or possibly some special expertise. The leader is then responsible for organising the content of the meeting. Other groups are led by the members of the group with a co-ordinator as a contact person/administrator.

If you have a particular interest or some expertise in a subject and would like to help form a group for this, please let the Groups Coordinator know by emailing via the contact page. The U3A is a self-help organisation and the philosophy is that we are all teachers and learners.

Advice and support is available to start new groups. While we are looking for members to lead new interest groups, nobody is obliged to do this.
