For this you have access to the monthly meeting, to any interest group you wish to join provided it is not full, to all the trips listed in the events section and Westnet, Yorkshire Region and National events. You will receive the monthly Bradford u3a newsletter and the national U3A magazine, 'Third Age Matters'. See the membership form for how to join or use the CONTACT page for more information.
TRY A MEETING BEFORE YOU JOIN - MONTHLY SPEAKER MEETINGS
The monthly meetings are a chance to meet and chat with friends, followed by an invited speaker for an hour. They happen on the third Wednesday of the month, currently at the Bradford Arts Centre, located between the Broadway Shopping Centre and the Cathedral.
Meetings usually attract 50+ members, sometimes up to 90 attend. Members need to book. If you are interested in becoming a member and want to attend, please contact the Membership Secretary.
INTEREST GROUP MEETINGS
Currently we have 35 interest groups which meet weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Groups vary in size from 4 to 45. Our range of interest groups is constantly increasing. We especially welcome new members who would like to start up a new group. The committee help with setting up new groups and there are lots of resources available nationally. TRIPS AND VISITS
In addition to the trips organised by the Events Team, many groups regularly make local trips - Archaeology & Geology, Art Appreciation, Gardens, International Dining, Looking at Old Buildings, the Lunch Groups, Theatre and of course our Walking and Sports groups. Trips offer an easy way to meet new people and make new friends. We also try to organise an annual coach trip or holiday.
